Yosemite Lodging

Yosemite is a smorgasbord of fun, but after a day teeming with adventure and exploration, there’s nothing like relaxing and rejuvenating in total comfort. From economy hotels to plush five star resorts and spas, historic bed and breakfast inns to modern lodges and casinos, you are sure to find just the place to unwind.

The Groveland Hotel at Yosemite National Park (314-273-3314) was built in 1849 and is furnished with European antiques. Pets are accepted for an additional fee and there is a complimentary continental breakfast. Also on the premises is a restaurant and bar.Wawona Hotel

The historic Wawona Hotel (209-375-6601) offers golfing, swimming, and tennis, and when you are a ready for a meal you can head to the onsite restaurant.

At Yosemite’s Curry Village you can indulge in a variety of restaurants like extensive cultural buffets to fresh-baked pizza, Mexican take-out and hand-dipped ice cream. Amenities include a swimming pool, and gift shop. The Village has 18 standard motel rooms, 100 cabins with private baths, three Specialty Cabins with baths, 80 cabins with central bath houses and 427 canvas tent cabins.

Ahwahnee Hotel

For a unique cultural stay, book a room at the elaborate Ahwahnee (559-253-5635). The juxtaposition of Native American décor and Colonial design give the hotel a cozy atmosphere. The hotel has been a national landmark since 1927 and is resplendent in impressive architecture. You will find stained glass windows, detailed stonework and beautiful mosaics along with artwork and artifacts by the Yosemite Miwok tribe. The hotel features a great lounge, a solarium, a dining room and restaurant, a Children’s area, an outdoor pool and tennis courts.

To enjoy the comforts of home and the convenience of Yosemite, book your place at the Teneya Lodge at Yosemite (888-514-2167). This lavish mountain lodge offers guest rooms or suites as well as a fitness room, spa, indoor and outdoor pools and a whirlpool. Also on location is a business center, 3 restaurants, a bar and an excellent children’s activity center.

Approximately 28 miles from Yosemite’s entrance is the Mariposa Lodge (800-966-8819). This beautiful mountain lodge is surrounded by award winning flower gardens and offers a variety of amenities like a pool and Jacuzzi.

At the Miners Inn (209-742-7777) you will find large rooms and richly furnished suites, some of which have fireplaces, spa tubs and kitchenettes. On the premises you will find a pool and spa, a wine and gift shop, a gold-rush themed restaurant and saloon. The Inn is also a pick up point for YARTS which is the bus that heads to Yosemite Valley. The Inn is convenient to many shops and restaurants as well as the California Mining Museum, the Majestic Merced River, gold panning locations, fishing and numerous trails for hiking, biking and viewing area wildflowers.

Located a few miles outside of Yosemite is the beautiful Narrow Gauge Inn (559-683-7720). Here you will find a friendly mountain atmosphere, fine dining and fantastic views of the Sierra Mountains.
