Hollywood Visitors Guide

Quiet on the set! Lights...camera...action! That’s a wrap! Best actor, best actress, opening night, Walk of Fame, star studded cast—what do you think of when it comes to Hollywood?

Not only will you find the expected—glamorous homes, celebrities, directors and producers-but you may be surprised to find one of America’s largest city parks—the 4,100 acre Griffith Park, the historic Farmers’ Market, and a number of hiking trails at the Sunset Ranch/Hollyridge Trail.

One of the city’s most recognized landmarks is the HOLLYWOOD sign which can be seen from all over Los Angeles, but it is best photographed from Beachwood Drive. The sign was originally constructed in 1925 to promote a housing development that was going to be called Hollywoodland; however, the last 4 letters disappeared and a world-wide recognized landmark was established.
