California Guided Tours
To get a little extra out of your vacation consider a guided tour. With a guided tour you'll hear stories and get the inside scoop on the destination.
San Francisco Fire Engine Tours are perfect for
seeing the cities sights from the height of a fire truck.
The 75 minute tour atop a mock fire engine includes real
fireproof garb and room for 13. You will leave from Fisherman’s
Wharf and head to Fort Point at the base of the Sausalito
Bridge then head back via Union Street to the Cannery. Call
415-333-7077 for more information. In Yountville, the heart of Napa Valley is the family
run Napa Valley Aloft hot air ballooning company.
They offer a variety of balloon trips piloted by experienced
FAA certified professionals. Trips vary in length and group
size but all begin from the Groezinger Winger. All Napa
Valley Aloft balloon trips offer pre-flight refreshments
and post flight breakfast.

Morro Bay
Morro Bay is a seaport town that boasts a 576 foot high volcanic dome
at its entrance. The area also has several state parks,
a Museum of Natural History and the Morro Bay Aquarium.
An especially enjoyable way to see the area is by booking
your place on the sternwheeler Tiger’s Folly II on which
you can go on a 1 hour guided boat tour of the area.
If you love viewing the world from high in the saddle,
then contact Holidays on Horseback (Descanso, 619-445-3997).
The company offers guided scenic rides along wilderness
trails ranging from rocky mountain terrain to chaparral
country. You will see seedlings sprouting up in the
ruins of a forest fire, the majesty of the mountains, and
alpine lakes. You can choose from rides lasting an hour,
a half day, overnight or even packages that include a ranch
stay in rooms that have a fireplace or spa facilities.
For a unique look at the California Redwoods, get on board
at the Roaring Camp Railroads (Felton, CA 813-335-4484).
You can choose from 2 trips aboard a 100 year old steam
locomotive. The trip to Bear Mountain passes through a steep
and curvy track to the summit of Bear Mountain. As you make
your way to the top, the engineer will share the history
of places like Indian Creek, Deer Valley and Hallelujah
Junction.
If it is the beach you love, then get your ticket for
Santa Cruz Beach Train. After the train leaves Roaring
Camp, you will head through Henry Cowell Redwoods State
Park, over a 1909 steel truss bridge; pass through an 1875
tunnel and along the street to the boardwalk at Santa Cruz.
